![]() Ability to work effectively and independently.Well developed and mature communication skills.Demonstrated intricate problem-solving and analytical skills.Preferred: Background knowledge and/or experience relating to neurological and ultrasonic research enabling interaction with researchers and neurologists.Knowledge of PC computers and programming languages such as Visual Basic, C++, or Matlab, or demonstrated aptitude in learning these languages.Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and a high school level education or four years of related experience and an Associate degree or little or no work experience and a Bachelor degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education.Install and operate computer, laboratory and related equipment.Perform additional functions incidental to programming activities.Serve as principal source of information for programmatic specifications, requirements and development.Translate the needs of the users into programmatic modifications and then effect those changes Interact with users of the programming system.Develop written materials and documentation related to programs.Write programs in various computer languages including C++, Matlab, and Visual Basic Develop flow charts and programming specifications.Very little possibility of safety risks.Errors are somewhat difficult to recognize and correct and can cause harm or financial loss to individuals, departments and the University or to other individuals and groups.Work affects outside immediate work unit, but rarely outside the University.Occasionally provides work guidance or orientation for non-routine procedures/ policies. ![]()
